Your smile is very important. It’s usually the first thing you notice when you meet someone. A brighter, whiter smile can help make a memorable impression and feel better about yourself. Unfortunately, your everyday lifestyle and aging process can darken and stain your teeth.
There are many things we do on a day-to-day basis to contribute to stained teeth such as:
- Drinking coffee / tea / pop / red wine
- Eating foods that could stain such as blueberries
- Not brushing / flossing properly and not taking care of teeth properly
- Smoking/chewing tobacco
In office Zoom whitening: This is a safe, effective and fast way to whiten your teeth with immediate results. This option makes a perfect choice for busy patients. With the dentist’s help, you can choose the right colour and shade for your teeth all in one visit at our A & B Dental Clinic.
Reasons for in-office whitening:
- Fast and convent
- Long lasting
- Low sensitivity
- Preformed by dental professional
Take home whitening kits: We offer custom whitening trays that we professionally create at our office to send home with our patients. Zoom whitening helps create the look the patient wants for a beautiful smile. Before leaving the office, our trained dental professionals will go over all the instructions/use to make sure the patient understands its proper use. This allows patients to get professional whitening results just by wearing their whitening kit for only 20 minutes at their convenience.
We advise patients to take precaution with whitening at home since whitening kits contain a high level of peroxide. Extra care must be taken in placing the whitening gels in the trays and making sure it’s not overfilling onto the gums, which could lead to sore gums or more serious problems. In addition, when whitening at home, do not wear the trays for more than an hour. This could result in teeth sensitivity. If you’re feeling teeth sensitivity, please stop using the whitening trays for a couple days to let the teeth settle or please contact our office for more information.
